James (Jim) Clark. Silicon Valley entrepreneur and founder of Netscape Communications Corp., USA. built a new swimming pool behind his home but the discovered to his chagrin that his neighbours could see from their breakfast nook everything that was going on in the pool. The obvious solution was to put up a larger fence - but the City by-laws and zoning rules prohibited this.
So… Clarke trucked in all kinds of topsoil and raised the level of his back yard - he built a hill on his back fence line - then he put a regulation size fence on top! His solution: “The fence can only be so high off the ground? OK. Then raise the ground.”
